Our Story

We Love started as a small group of friends living in North Dallas, who came together to help furnish an apartment for a Rohingya family from Burma. They had escaped genocide and had been living in a Bangladesh refugee camp for many years. They had nothing. We had so much stuff in our garages and storage units. Why not give to this precious family who needs it? We furnished their rooms, stocked their pantry and refrigerator, filled their closets with clothes and toys and invited others to join us in this effort. The response was heartening. The spark had been lit!

Inspired by our initial efforts, others in our church family got excited and were eager to participate in helping refugees. News came of a second Rohingya family needing help. This time, we were able to furnish their apartment with the generous support of many in only three days. Desiring to do more and with a commitment to meet future needs of refugees in our city, a garage space was generously donated for storage, donations were collected and volunteers committed their time. We Love was born!

Our Mission

Compelled by God’s love, We Love, brings people together to welcome, serve and support refugees.

Our Vision

A world where we extend kindness to all people and all nations are welcome.

Our Principles

Our Impact

It’s a beautiful and joyful expression of grace when God uses us, His church, to welcome, care for, and serve the needs of refugees who come to our cities. As disciples, we are called to “defend the weak and the fatherless, uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed, and rescue the weak and the needy” (Psalm 83:2-4).
